JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is known for having some outstanding characters. Each part has a unique cast that plays an important role in the rising popularity of the series. Jotaro and Kakyoin were introduced in Stardust Crusaders. Jotaro was the main protagonist and Kakyoin was a supporting character.

Kakyoin wasn't always friendly towards Jotaro. In fact, he was an enemy at the beginning, but Jotaro defeated him. The two gradually develop into one of the series best duos, but they never quite live up to all their expectations, and there are plenty of duos that are better than Jotaro & Kakyoin.

10 BETTER: Giorno & Mista

Giorno and Mista from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Mista and Giorno are undoubtedly among the best duos in the series. Mista and Giorno were involved in several fights as a pair. The two of them had incredible teamwork and with their combined efforts, they managed to overwhelm their opponents. The best fight that the two were involved was versus Ghiaccio. Ghiaccio's White Album made him a fierce opponent, and he dominated Mista & Giorno for most of the fight, but the duo eventually managed to overwhelm and kill Ghiaccio.

9 WORSE: Rohan & Koichi

Rohan and Koichi jojo's bizarre adventure

Rohan and Koichi weren't the best of friends when they first met. Rohan took Koichi's memories and left the poor guy in a bad state. Despite the poor start, Koichi and Rohan hung out together a few times. Koichi never really trusted Rohan because of what he did to him previously. A good example of this distrust is when Rohan sought out Koichi's help to deal with Cheap Trick, but Koichi's first impression was that it was another one of Rohan's tricks.

8 BETTER: Gyro & Johnny

Gyro and Johnny from Steel Ball Run

A major reason behind the success of Steel Ball Run is the duo of Gyro and Johnny. Gyro and Johnny participated in the Steel Ball Run race and along their way, they encountered countless obstacles. Their relationship is one of the most fleshed out in the franchise.

The two of them overcame much together, sharing a lot of intimate moments– both happy and sad– which gives them an edge over most duos in the series.

7 WORSE: Secco & Cioccolata

Cioccolata and Secco with Green Day - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

Not many characters in JoJo managed to disgust fans as easily as Secco and Cioccolata. The two are among the sickest and sordid characters in the entire series. Cioccolata tortured people and Secco was his favorite pet. The two of them had stands that complimented each other, which made them a formidable duo. As opponents they are lethal, but from a personality point of view, they have more of a master and slave relationship, which is quite disappointing.

6 BETTER: Anasui & Weather

Anasui fell in love with Jolyne in Green Dolphin Street Prison and he wanted to help her in any way possible. When he found out Jolyne left the prison, he went after her, but he was not alone. His companion was Weather Report, who was going through a crisis himself and he wanted to find out who he really was. Once outside the prison, they were quickly greeted by a stand attack. The two of them were dumbfounded when they saw fictional characters coming to life. Somehow they managed to defeat Bohemian Rhapsody and escape with their lives. They were a duo for short time, but they were certainly interesting.

5 WORSE: Speedwagon & Jonathan

Speedwagon cares for Jonathan

There was a lot of expectation on this duo in Phantom Blood, but they turned out to be a complete letdown. Speedwagon didn't do anything at all and in most of the fights, he was just a bystander.

He just cheered for Jonathan and did nothing else. Jonathan had to do all the difficult work in the series. The duo had the potential to become really good, but sadly that never came to pass.

4 BETTER: Josuke & Okuyasu

Josuke and Okuyasu from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Both of them are great as separate characters, and yet the two of them make an even better duo. They started out as fierce enemies, but after a while, they turned into the best of friends. Josuke and Okuyasu are a very fun duo and they have worked together against several opponents. They share banter and do all kinds of things that high-schoolers do, and a lot of people find them to be relatable.

3 WORSE: Oingo & Boingo

The two brothers were among the many minions of DIO who were sent to stop the Joestar Group from reaching Cairo. Oingo's stand is Khnum and Boingo's stand is Tohth. Fans expected the two brothers to mount up a serious challenge against the Joestar group, but they were easily taken care of and it was really disappointing.

2 BETTER: Caesar & Joseph

Caesar and Joseph Joestar

Caesar and Joseph are among the most fun duos in JoJo. It is fair to say that the two of them played a very important role in making Battle Tendency a hit among the fans. The two of them had immense respect for each other and they always pushed each other. Caesar fought against Wamuu and took the ring that Joseph needed. He sacrificed his life for the sake of his friend.

1 WORSE: J. Geil & Hol Horse

Both J. Geil and Hol Horse have strong stands that could have easily helped them to kill Jotaro and co. but they were both very complacent. Hol Horse was a complete fool and he never managed to use his stand properly. J. Geil was a deviant who committed several crimes including the murder of Sherry Polnareff. J. Geil and Hol Horse were easily dealt with by the Joestar group.
