Director J.J. Abrams and the cast of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" discuss the scope of the film, and shooting with IMAX cameras, in this new IMAX featurette.

"The fans of 'Star Wars,' they'll be able to experience a sequence in a way they haven't before," Abrams says, adding, "That feeling of going to the movies, and having a fully immersive, powerful, high-quality presentation of the film, it's something that's more valuable than ever, and I think IMAX stands for that."

The video intercuts comments by Abrams, Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie with behind-the-scenes shots and footage from the film. Although none of what we see is new, some it has certainly only been revealed in the past few days in TV spots and that Chinese trailer.

Opening Dec. 18 across North America, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" also stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis and Max Von Sydow.
