John Krasinski ("13 Hours," NBC's "The Office") is circling J.J. Abrams' upcoming sci-fi thriller, "God Particle."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Krasinski is in talks to join David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the feature, which is being produced by J.J. Abrams through his Bad Robot Productions banner. Krasinski will reportedly play one of the astronauts in "God Particle."

"God Particle" follows "a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges everything they know about reality and each other."

Directed by Julius Onah ("The Girl Is In Trouble") and written by Oren Uziel ("22 Jump Street"), "God Particle" is slated for a February 24, 2017 release.
