The CW has given a script commitment to a hotel drama from ubiquitous producer J.J. Abrams and One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn, Deadline reports.
Tentatively titled Maine, the drama revolves around the staff and guests of an inn in -- you guessed it! -- Maine. Schwahn will write and executive produce through his Mastermind Laboratories, with Abrams and Bryan Burk also executive producing via Bad Robot Productions.
If Maine were to be picked up, it would mark a homecoming of sorts for Abrams, whose first television series Felicity aired from 1998 to 2002 on The CW's predecessor The WB.
Schwahn's One Tree Hill, which also started on The WB, begins its ninth and final season Jan. 11 on The CW.
