DC fans have wondered how the DC Universe subscription service would end up, given that most of its shows have migrated to other channels. According to DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, the service still has a future.Lee made the announcement via Twitter, after congratulating DC Universe's Doom Patrol on being renewed for Season 3. The future of the DC Universe service has been in question ever since its original shows migrated to other services. Stargirl was renewed for Season 2, but will air exclusively on The CW. Season 2 of Doom Patrol aired simultaneously on HBO Max and DC Universe, while both seasons of the Harley Quinn animated series have become available on HBO Max as well.

Other series including Swamp Thing and DC Daily only lasted for a single season. The remaining series are Titans and Young Justice, which has been renewed for Season 4.

Other items the service offers include access to a wide library of DC comics such as Crisis on Infinite Earths, as well as DC television shows and films including Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Movie.
