Jim Lee is not afraid to post his early art to highly public channels like Twitter. Today, the DC Entertainment publisher added an early pencil sketch of Cyborg to the list of sneak peeks he has provided through the social media site. The sketch is a teaser for an upcoming Cyborg-themed variant cover for Justice League #5.RELATED: DC’s Jim Lee Honors Steve Ditko with The Question IllustrationAccording to a synopsis for the issue, Justice League #5 will focus on the doings of Lex Luthor, freshly returned from the future, where he got a glimpse at one potential future. Apparently, the shock is enough to propel Luthor into action, as he immediately starts recruiting for his new Legion of Doom, all to cement himself as the baddest DC Comics villain out there.

Luthor’s journey will lead him to both Sinestro and Gorilla Grodd, who are all too eager to join up with the megalomaniac. How Cyborg factors into the events of Justice League #5 is unclear, though, as a longtime member of the Justice League, it’s reasonable to assume that he will be on-hand to thwart some evil, likely with a laser hand cannon.
