The Suicide Squad director James Gunn received one of the best gifts any comic book fan could hope for: an original drawing by Jim Lee.

Gunn shared a portion of the image drawn by the DC Comics Chief Creative Officer and promised to reveal the entire image after the premiere of The Suicide Squad. "Undoubtedly the most shocking Christmas gift I got this year was a big piece of comic book cover art by the great @jimlee he did after hanging with us for a few days on the set of #TheSuicideSquad," Gunn wrote.

Gunn went on to mention that he was only sharing a portion of the image to prevent any spoilers about the characters and costumes that will appear in the film.

Lee himself commented on the image. "Can’t wait for the fans to see what you have cooked up. Soooo good," he said. Jim Lee is a long-time comic book artist with work featured in Batman: Gotham Knights, Superman Unchained, Batman: Hush and many more.
