For his latest sketch for charity, DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee is bringing the Flashpoint Batman to life.

Lee created a watercolor painting of Flashpoint Batman descending from the skies, his cape flapping in the wind. Behind him, lightning crackles and a blood-red sky looms. The piece is currently up for auction on eBay, and at the time of writing, it has a price tag of $13,388. 95 percent proceeds from the auction will go to Book Charity Industry Foundation (BINC), which is using the funds to benefit comic shops affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

"BATMAN FLASHPOINT DC Comics Original Art Watercolor By Jim Lee Thomas Wayne!" the eBay description reads. "Sketch 50 is the last of the watercolor pieces meaning we have 10 left in this overall series of 60 sketches! Homestretch now with 10 pen and ink pieces to go! This 9x12" watercolor on 300# board is a 3 day auction with proceeds benefiting comic shops in need via nonprofit BINC. Winner gets to choose the next DC character Jim draws!"

Flashpoint features an alternate timeline caused when Barry Allen prevented his mother's murder and a young Bruce Wayne was shot to death by Joe Chill. The incident transformed Thomas Wayne into a lethal version of Batman, while his wife Martha suffered a mental breakdown and became that timeline's version of tThe Joker. The Flashpoint Batman was brought into the mainstream DC Universe during Tom King's run on Batman and played a major role in the "City of Bane" story arc.

Lee plans to do 60 sketches in total, each featuring a different character from the DC Universe. Other artists have also contributed sketches, and Lee has participated in other charity initiatives, including the #Creators4Comics movement on Twitter.
