Jim Lee returned to posting his 60-day charity auction for comic book stores. The DC Publisher/Chief Creative Officer posted his newest sketch to Twitter, featuring the heavily armored Batman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This Batman is shown sporting armor inspired by The Dark Knight Returns and holding the Kryptonite spear he intended to use against Superman.Lee is auctioning off the sketch on eBay. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC). The BINC will use the proceeds to support comic shops affected by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Other artists, including Ivan Reis and J. Scott Campbell, have contributed pieces to the auction. Lee also created the #Creators4Comics movement on Twitter, which saw several comic creators auctioning off rare pieces of art and signed collections to benefit comic shops; he recently joined Gail Simone's #ComicWritersChallenge and auctioned off an original piece of X-Men art for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice featured Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight. Affleck would reprise the role in Justice League and a cameo in Suicide Squad.
