Jim Fletcher Joins DC Staff as Senior Art Director, DC Direct

Official Press Release

DC Comics announces that Jim Fletcher has joined the company as Senior Art Director, DC Direct. Fletcher reports to Georg Brewer, VP - Design & Retail Product Development.

"After working as a creative consultant with DC for over 10 years, when Georg presented this opportunity to me, I was ready to jump right in," says Fletcher. "Playing with the characters that meant so much to me as a kid (and still do, I'll admit) is an exciting and fulfilling opportunity. It's great to be an integral part of this dynamic and innovative team."

"Through the creative growth and success of the last few years, DC Direct is poised to explode into new areas, and adding Jim Fletcher as Senior Art Director will certainly help us get there," says Brewer. "Jim has an extensive background in and around the toy and comic book industry, a passion for collectibles and a welcome knowledge of the vast DC Comics library. I am excited to see the creative heights that he and the rest of our team can reach."

Before joining DC, Fletcher spent fifteen years as a freelance designer, working with DC Direct, the Warner Bros. Studio Stores, Six Flags, K'Nex, Scholastic Books and other companies. Prior to that, he was a staff designer at SpinMaster and Irwin Toys.
