Jesus Christ Is DC Comics' Newest Superhero

An upcoming Vertigo Comics series introduces a brand-new superhero with his own Messiah complex -- which is appropriate, given that said hero is Jesus Christ himself.

DC Comics has released its advance solicitations for March 2019, including the debut issue of the new Vertigo series Second Coming by writer Mark Russell and artist Richard Pace. The new series sends the Son of God to Earth to learn how to be the savior of mankind by rooming with Superman-analogue Sun-Man. Upon his return, the Messiah is shocked to learn how his teachings have been subverted by humanity and sets out to make the world right.
