We've seen Krysten Ritter's hard-nosed, hard-drinking private investigator Jessica Jones put an end to Kilgrave's reign of terror and battle the Hand beneath the streets of New York. However, new images from Season 2 of Marvel's hit Netflix series seemingly place Jessica on the wrong side of the law, despite her newfound hero status.

While two of the images reveal the familiar faces of Trish, Malcolm and Jeri, and one is of Jessica sitting at her desk, it's the picture in which the PI is standing in the hallway of a police precinct that raises the most questions. Behind her, an officer stands at the ready, hand on her weapon, while Jessica, who's chained and shackled, presumably makes her obligatory "one phone call."

Little is known about the plot of Jessica Jones' sophomore season, outside of the brief synopsis that accompanied the first trailer. However, it does reveal "the New York City private eye is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave (played by David Tennant)," who will reprise his role as the mind-controlling villain in some capacity. Furthermore, Jessica will be forced to confront not only her past but the stigma of being considered a "super-powered killer."
