Following the news that Marvel's Jessica Jones will be canceled after its upcoming Season 3,  showrunner Melissa Rosenberg hinted on Twitter that one of the show's most memorable villains, Kilgrave, could return during the show's final season. When a Marvel fan lamented losing Kilgrave, who died at the end of Season 1, again, Rosenberg responded with a cryptic " Not quite yet!" This strongly suggests that actor David Tennant could repirse his role as the mind-controlling Kevin Thompson yet again.RELATED: Jessica Jones Stars and Showrunner Respond to Show's Cancellation

Kilgrave, who's called the Purple Man in the Marvel Universe, was the primary antagonist towards Jessica Jones, the super-strong P.I.  who he kept under his control for months while obsessing over her.

Eventually after a failed attempt at reconciliation and redemption, Jessica's rejection became too much for the villain to bear. His efforts to manipulate and otherwise put Jessica under his control concluded with Jessica snapping his neck, effectively killing him.

In the show's second season, Kilgrave continued to haunt Jessica as a mental hallucination, who pestered her with doubts and made her fear that she would become an unapologetic murderer in the same league as him.
