Netflix has debuted a new trailer for Jessica Jones' upcoming second season, and it fills in a lot of blanks regarding what the Marvel series will tackle when it arrives in March.

Not only will the series dig deep into the mystery of Jessica's powers and her family's death, it teases a far more active role for Patsy Walker (Rachael Taylor), Jessica's best friend and adopted sister who appears to be taking the first steps towards adopting her Marvel Comics superhero identity of Hellcat. And, of course, there's the ever-looming threat of David Tennant's Killgrave, though whether he actually survived what appeared to be a pretty final fate in Season 1 remains to be revealed.

The idea that Taylor's character would follow in her comic book counterpart's footsteps is one the actor herself laid the groundwork for. During the series' first season promotion, Taylor made it clear that she was more than willing and ready to join the ranks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's colorful heroes.

"It would be amazing," Taylor said of the idea of suiting up as Hellcat. "I mean, it’s already a privilege to play a history that has so much lineage within the Marvel Universe. And to take it that one step further is something that, yeah, I’d love to get my teeth stuck into whatever happens to the character."

Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter as the troubled, superpowered private investigator.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones will return to Netflix for a second season on March 8, 2018. The character was last seen in Marvel’s The Defenders, which is available now on Netflix.
