Netflix has released the episode titles for Season 2 of Jessica Jones using comic book covers illustrated by 13 international women.
The significance of the 13 women artists is all 13 episodes of the Marvel Netflix series will have female directors. Artists who contributed to the covers are Stephanie Hans, Jen Bartel, Elizabeth Torque, Kate Niemczyk, Colleen Doran, Erica Henderson, Audrey Mok, Joyce Chin, Jenny Frison, Amy Reeder, Ema Lupacchino, June Brigman and Annie Wu.
The episode titles are "AKA Start At The Beginning," "AKA Freak Accident," "AKA Sole Survivor," "AKA God Help The Hobo," "AKA The Octopus," "AKA Facetime," "AKA I Want Your Cray Cray," "AKA Ain't We Got Fun," "AKA Shark In The Bathtub, Monster In The Bed," "AKA Pork Chop," "AKA Three Lives And Counting," "AKA Pray For My Patsy" and "AKA Playland."
Season 1 of the street-level series followed a similar naming scheme for its episodes, beginning each with the "AKA" tag before diving into the full name. The second title looks to begin answering the question of how Jessica Jones gained her superhuman abilities, with the season promising to reveal Jessica's origin story. Episode 12 doesn't bode well for Patsy Walker (Rachael Taylor), Jessica’s best friend and adopted sister who appears to be taking the first steps towards adopting her Marvel Comics superhero identity of Hellcat.
Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter as the troubled, superpowered private investigator.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones will return to Netflix for a second season on March 8. The character was last seen in Marvel’s The Defenders, which is available now on Netflix.
