Don't expect Krysten Ritter to reprise her role as Jessica Jones anytime soon following the cancelation of the Netflix Marvel series of the same name.

“Do I think I’ll play her again? I don’t think so,” Ritter told TVLine. “I feel like I’ve played her, you know? I feel really good about it. I feel good about closing the door.” Ritter previously explained that, although she loves the role, she's also likes some variety in the roles she plays.

Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg echoed Ritter's sentiments, saying, “I feel like this is a really complete, closed chapter. I mean, never say never. But I feel ready to tell all new stories."

The cancellations of Netflix's Marvel series began with Iron Fist before the streaming service pulled the plug on the entire slate -- which also consisted of Luke CageDaredevilPunisher and Jessica Jones. Fans have had some hope the shows might be revived on Disney+, but there may be a clause preventing the characters from appearing outside of Netflix for the next two years.
