In November, prolific comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis announced he will leave Marvel Comics for DC Comics sometime next year. Though it's unclear when he will wrap up his work at Marvel, it looks like his Jessica Jones title will be the first to shift creative teams.

In the March solicits released earlier today, Jessica Jones #18 is described as the final issue done by both Bendis and artist Michael Gaydos, who also worked on the character's first solo series over a decade ago. You can read the solicit in full below:

Following Bendis' departure from Jessica's solo comic, a new writer and artist will take over. The new Jessica Jones team has not yet been announced. Bendis has said that the writer will be a woman, making it the first time a woman has written her for a solo comic.

The final Bendis/Gaydos-helmed issue of Jessica Jones will arrive on March 7, 2018.
