Jessica Jones isn't exactly a new character when it comes to Marvel Comics. Thanks to that, there are plenty of plots the third season could pull from. So far, none of the series have pulled any plot without changing it, but that's not going to stop us from hoping.

Since this is the third and final season of the series (until and unless another deal is made, or transferred over) this is our last chance to see some of these plots come to life on the small screen. Here's hoping that the series will touch on at least one of these plots.

10 10. Hellcat

The first item on our list isn't technically a Jessica Jones plot...however this character does feature heavily in the Netflix series. And they've already made plenty of hints about what she could become.

We are, of course, talking about Hellcat. In the comics, Patsy Walker aka Trish is a hero in her own right. Though admittedly she's a very quirky one. The Netflix series has shown the progress Trish has made towards this point in her plot.

At this point it'd be surprising if we didn't see her character progress further here. However, we're really hoping that we'll see her fully pick up the Hellcat mantle during the next season.

9 9. Jessica Jones, P.I.

Detectives Jessica Jones

Believe it or not, Jessica Jones spent a brief period of time writing for the Pulse. It was thanks to her investigative skills that she did so well in the job. Admittedly there were other reasons why Jessica was more inclined to take this job – such as keeping herself paid but safe while pregnant. So this plot isn't likely to occur.

However, it would be fun to see, if for no other reason that the increased likelihood of seeing a Spider-Man crossover. But again, that isn't exactly likely.

8 8. The Secrets of Maria Hill

Maria Hill with her gun drawn

After S.H.I.E.L.D. had their secrets exposed, Maria Hill found herself in a spot of trouble. You see, she, like Nick Fury, had done a lot of horrible things in the name of keeping people safe. Naturally, that would result in some people wanting her dead. The problem is, she doesn't know who's trying to kill her.

That's where Jessica comes in. She's more than capable of solving Maria's convoluted mystery here – even if she isn't really willing to be involved in the case.

This plot fits in well with events that have happened previously in both the MCU and Netflix series. And if we assume that the Netflix series is behind, timeline wise (much like the MCU is), then there's a chance for it.

7 7. Jonah Jameson

J Jonah Jameson

An unexpected character makes an appearance in Alias Volume three, but there's a good reason for it. We're talking about none other than Jonah Jameson. Jonah has long and famously hated many vigilantes (or heroes, depending on what you prefer), but none more than Spider-Man. Yet Jameson finds himself in need of a hero, and not for the reason originally implied.

This plot would be fun to see mainly because we'd love to see J.K. Simmons reprise his role. But it would also be one of the rare chances to see some sort of crossover between the Netflix series and the movies (though currently his only MCU appearance was for one of the older versions).

6 6. Knightress

knightress

Most of us know that Jessica did in fact try her hand at being a superhero named Jewel. Jessica also spent a little bit of time being a vigilante. The distinction between vigilante and hero isn't always that great, but in her case, it felt important.

Jessica took up the name Knightress and went after a criminal organization known as the Owl. It was her only time she used the name, but it was an important moment for her. You see, this all followed her time as Killgrave's puppet, and thus was part of her way of coping.

This plot could easily be twisted and used as a way of Jessica coping with the loss of her mother.

5 5. Uncaged!

Jessica is good at her job, even though it sometimes doesn't look at it. What really is holding her back is her attitude. However, sometimes her attitude is exactly what is needed. In Jessica Jones: Uncaged our heroine goes to jail, and so much more, all to protect her cover.

There are a lot of elements from this plot that would have to get modified to fit into the current setting of the Netflix series. But since we know they'd want to change it a bit anyway, that probably is for the best.

4 4. Blind Spot

Alias comic Jessica Jones by David Mack in Marvel Comics

Jessica Jones: Blind Spot is one of the newest plots to hit the papers, but it certainly is an interesting one. Here Jessica finds herself wrapped up in a case from her past, but it quickly turns dark. This plot has the potential to bring in characters with powers we haven't seen yet – as well as a few other cameos.

This plot in particular touches on a lot of tones the Netflix series has become famous for. It's a little bit women power, friendship, and a lot intense. This plot has some crazy twists and turns, and more than one death that isn't what it appears to be.

3 3. A Little Surprise

In the comics, Jessica Jones is famously the mother of little Danielle. The pregnancy was a bit of a surprise, and was the ultimate cause of a few different changes in Jessica's life. For one thing, it ended the relationship she was currently in (despite it having been a fantastic one up until that point). Mainly because he wasn't the father.

For another thing, it got her back with Luke Cage. This plot could easily bring Luke into the picture, as well as giving a reason for Jessica and Oscar to break up (sorry to the fans that like him!). Though we're not sure how likely this plot is, since we're unclear on how much time has passed.

2 2. The Return of Purple Man

purple man

One of the most famous plots for Jessica Jones, obviously is the Purple Man. Thanks to how memorable this character is, he seems to keep coming back again and again. It doesn't matter what is done to him, he'll keep coming for Jessica.

Killgrave came back in the comics recently, despite his apparent death. He didn't go right for Jessica – he's smarter than that. Instead he had fun terrorizing the people around her for a bit. Unfortunately (for him) that also gave her time to plan a way to deal with him. Though we all know it won't be the last time we see him.

1 1. Purple Daughter

This plot is the least likely to happen, though it was an absolute hit when it released. This plot revolves around Danielle – Jessica and Luke Cage's baby. Here we see their greatest fear – little Danielle being affected by Killgrave. It's so much more complicated than that, but you'll have to read the whole story to see why.

This plot is so amazingly intense and well-written. Not to mention gut-wrenching and emotionally compelling. It would be great to see on the small screen.

However, that is unlikely to happen. It requires a lot of things already in place, and it just isn't likely that the final season will have time to set any of that up. And the last thing we want to see is a rush plot – especially not this one. So instead we're just going to have to hope that Jessica Jones comes back, and that it'll eventually touch upon this plot.
