Jessica Chastain Offers a Chilly Welcome in First 'Crimson Peak' Clip

If Mia Wasikowska was hoping for a warm reception, she'd have been better off passing up the decrepit Gothic manor and its creepy aristocratic occupants.

In this first clip from Guillermo del Toro's supernatural thriller "Crimson Peak," icy Lady Lucille Sharpe (Jessica Chastain) makes it clear her brother's (Tom Hiddleston) new bride isn't welcome in their very unwelcoming home.

Opening Oct. 16, the film stars Wasikowska as a young woman swept off her feet by a charismatic suitor and taken back to his ancestral home, where she discovers as jealous sister and plenty of skeletons, both metaphorical and literal.

"Crimson Peak" also stars Charlie Hunnam, Jim Beaver, Burn Gorman and Doug Jones.
