Marvel Cinematic Universe star Jeremy Renner has offered fans a glimpse of his Avengers: Infinity War costume. The Hawkeye actor shared a set photo on his Instagram, which offers a tantalizing tease of what's to come in the upcoming movie.

The photo shows only Renner's silhouette against a concrete wall. A quiver full of arrows can be spotted above his right shoulder, next to his high-collared top. "Costume on point today ... what do you think?" he wrote on the post with a winking emoji.

Notably, he tagged "Infinity Wars" on the post, though that movie wrapped filming in July. It's possible the film is going through reshoots or that Renner simply made a mistake, as filming on Avengers 4 -- which started shooting in August -- is currently underway. Either way, the Avengers actor was spotted on the Avengers 4 set back in October, where he appeared to be wearing the character's Ronin outfit.

The earlier photos showed Renner wearing black boots with a gold trim, which match up with his Ronin identity from the comics, where Barton traded his signature bow and arrows for twin katanas in the fallout from Civil War in order to keep his identity a secret. Between this new costume and the character's shorter haircut and arm tattoo, it appears that Clint Barton will indeed assume the Ronin identity, which may be why Renner offered only this tease.

Debuting in theaters on May 4, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War is a production of Marvel Studios directed by Joe and Anthony Russo starring Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie. Avengers 4 is expected to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
