Longtime Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek revealed earlier this year that he is battling pancreatic cancer. Now, Trebek has positive news about his diagnosis.

On Good Morning America, Trebek said he is in "near remission." "The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory… Some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50%," he told People that same day.

Trebek had positive feelings about the treatment, telling GMA host Robin Roberts, "My oncologist tells me I'm doing well, even though I don't always feel it... I've discovered in this whole episode, ladies and gentlemen, that I'm a bit of a wuss, but I'm fighting through it."

Roberts, who is a breast cancer survivor herself, shared her experiences dealing with cancer treatment with Trebek. The pair spoke about the difficulties of they went through while dealing with chemotherapy. He hopes to finish his treatments by the end of the summer, which would allow him to return to his hosting duties for the classic quiz show in September.

Jeopardy! is currently in its 35th season and airs on NBC.
