Jensen Ackles Dons the Red Hood Again (For Halloween)

Jensen Ackles is "reprising" his role as Red Hood for Halloween.

The Supernatural actor posted seven images of himself dressed as the fan-favorite DC vigilante on Instagram. "Bringin the #redhood back for Halloween. Feels good...real good," wrote Ackles. He went on to thank Instagram user arachnobite for apparently making the impressive Red Hood costume, which even includes a mask under the signature helmet.

While Ackles is known for his role as Dean Winchester on the CW show Supernatural, he made an impression on the Dark Knight's world when he voiced Jason Todd, the Red Hood, in the 2010 animated movie Batman: Under the Red Hood. The emotional and exciting animated adventure is often regarded as one of the best Batman animated movies ever, widely considered as second to only Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

With the CW Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds and the debut of Ruby Rose as Batwoman on the way, many fans are hoping to see Ackles finally portray the Red Hood in a live-action format, especially since Ackles previously posted a photo of this Red Hood costume. However, this post is more than likely just a fun way for him to embrace the beloved animated role and send his fans a fun "Happy Halloween" message.
