While speaking backstage at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards, longtime-actor Jennifer Aniston revealed that she once pined for the role of Wonder Woman."I wanted to be Wonder Woman, but I waited too long," Aniston said. The actor didn't mention if she ever actively pursued the role. Aniston has yet to appear in any comic book-based films or TV shows and even recently criticized Marvel films.
Aniston won the "Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series" SAG award for her work on the AppleTV+ program, The Morning Show. The actor has appeared in a multitude of television programs and films over her career, including 2003's Bruce Almighty, 2004's Along Came Polly, 2011's Horrible Bosses and, of course, Friends.
Other actors that have portrayed live-action versions of Wonder Woman include Cathy Lee Crosby in the 1974 film Wonder Woman and Lynda Carter in the massively-popular Wonder Woman TV series.
Gal Gadot has portrayed the character of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman since her first appearance in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Wonder Woman 1984 will be the fourth film featuring Gadot as Wonder Woman.
