It looks increasingly unlikely that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will reprise his role as Thomas Wayne, but the Walking Dead star hasn't taken his eye off the DC Extended Universe just yet. He might even have his sights on the Main Man.

During an appearance at Walker Stalker Con, Morgan and co-star Norman Reedus were asked the inevitable question of which superhero movie roles they'd be interested in. For the Negan actor, there was only one answer: the foul-mouthed, cigar-chomping intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo.

“The only one I want to play is DC and Lobo. He’s badass,” Morgan said. “Marvel, I don’t know, everyone that’s in it is pretty good. I feel like all the greatest characters, they’re working.”

It's not the first time Morgan has expressed interest in the character. In 2009, fresh off his role as The Comedian in Zack Snyder's adaptation of Watchmen, the actor said he thought a turn as the fan-favorite antihero would be "cool."

A Lobo movie has been in the works, on and off, since at least 2009, with Dwayne Johnson attached to star at one point, and first Guy Ritchie and then Brad Peyton set to direct. The project appeared to go dormant until early this year, with Michael Bay in negotiations to direct from a script by Wonder Woman writer Jason Fuchs.
