Jeff Trojan has been named Vice President, Business Development for DC Direct, it was announced today by Paul Levitz, DC Comics' President & Publisher.
In this newly created position, Trojan will concentrate on the growth and day-to-day management of DC Comics' DC Direct's business activities, one of the top toy and collectible suppliers in the specialty market.
"We're proud of DC Direct's reputation for producing great lines of products that our fans love," commented Levitz. "We look forward to Jeff helping bring our efforts to a wider audience."
Prior to DC Comics, Trojan was Vice President of Marketing at Play Along where he led the strategic direction for the LIMA award-winning Care Bears brand as well as The Lord of the Rings, The Cat in the Hat, Teletubbies and Cabbage Patch Kids. Before that, Trojan served as Vice President of Boys' Toys at Playmates Toys where he worked on several award-winning action figure lines including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, Tomb Raider, Skeleton Warriors, Exosquad, and The Simpsons. As a Marketing Director at Galoob Toys, he managed the master toy license for Twentieth Century Fox's Anastasia animated motion picture.
Trojan studied industrial design at Arizona State University, prior to graduating with a bachelor of science in finance. He went on to receive an MBA in marketing and new venture management from the University of Southern California.
Trojan will report to Cheryl Rubin, Senior Vice President - Brand Management at DC, and work closely with Georg Brewer, VP - Design and DC Direct Creative.
