According to Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic World 3 will finally start filming relatively soon.

The actor -- will reprise his role of Dr. Ian Malcolm in the new film -- let word slip that the next installment in the Jurassic World series would begin filming in the summer of 2020 during an interview with Chris Evans' Virgin Radio Breakfast Show.

The host asked if Goldblum had ever done a Halloween movie of sorts, playing into the theme of the spooky season. Goldblum recounted his experiences filming The Fly and Invasion of the Body Snatchers before commenting on Jurassic World.

"Well I guess those dinosaur movies are kind of scary," he said. "And we're gonna do another one of those around these parts come this summer. I'm gonna be here shooting with Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Colin Trevorrow as the great director is going to be writing and directing it. And I can't wait."

Scheduled for release in 2021, Jurassic World 3 will see original series characters Ian Malcolm (Goldblum), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Dern) and Dr. Alan Grant (Neill) cross paths with Owen Grady (Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard). Due to the resurgence of characters from the past Jurassic Park franchise, Colin Trevorrow has taken to calling the film Jurassic Park IV internally.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World 3, starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum. The film is set to be released on June 11, 2021.
