Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster has more or less summed up the brand of humor fans can expect from Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok in a new comedic clip from the Thor threequel. We're privy to his character playfully teasing the captive Odinson, only for the Grandmaster to lure him into battle against his champion, the Hulk, unbeknownst to Thor.

The clip is filled with laugh-out-loud moments paying homage to the '80s and '90s, including Loki denying Thor as his brother until mentioning they're adopted, as well as the Grandmaster fumbling with Asgard's pronunciation -- calling Odin's kingdom "Ass-place" and "Ass-burg." Goldblum's eccentricities come unbound here as he also jokes about the Grandmaster's age with Thor and Loki. He ends up bargaining with Thor, infuriating him by calling him a "lord" instead of a "god," as they discuss the Odinson's freedom.

Thor eventually asks him to "point me in the direction of whoever's ass I have to kick!" -- which he duly obliges as the ruler of the planet Sakaar, with a sinister smile on his face as he sends the Avenger off to the gladiator arena to fight his friend. In the comics, Grandmaster is an Elder of the Universe, and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he's also the brother of Benicio del Toro's Collector, setting the stage for a very unique and interesting dynamic with Loki, Valkyrie and Bruce Banner, who all end up joining the fight against Hela.

Thor: Ragnarok opens on November 3rd, 2017. Ragnarok is already earning nearly universal praise from critics and stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Idris Elba, and Karl Urban.
