Jeff Daniels Warns 'Mark Dies If You Don't' in New Clip From 'The Martian'

Jeff Daniels isn't messing around in this latest clip from Ridley Scott's "The Martian," in which his NASA Administrator Teddy Sanders makes seemingly impossible demands in an effort to rescue astronaut Mark Watney.

Told "We'll do our best," Sanders grimly replies, "Mark dies if you don't."

Matt Damon stars as Watney, a botanist presumed dead during a mission to Mars and left behind by his crew. Based on the 2011 novel by Andy Weir, the sci-fi adventure follows his struggle to survive as NASA searches for a way to bring “the Martian” home.

Opening Oct. 2, "The Martian" also stars Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Sebastian Stan, Sean Bean, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Donald Glover.
