Jeff Daniels' Emmy win on Sunday surprised many observers -- he was named outstanding lead actor for his work on The Newsroom in a crowded field that included Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranstron, House of Cards' Kevin Spacey, Homeland's Damian Lewis, Mad Men's Jon Hamm and Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville -- but just two days later, the actor was back in familiar territory.

Daniels tweeted a photo Tuesday from the Dumb and Dumber To set of himself with co-star Jim Carrey, reprising their roles from the 1994 original, with the simple caption of "We're Back!!!" Jim Carrey -- appearing in a sequel for only the second time in his career, following the critically maligned Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls -- also shared a photo to mark the first day of production.

Dumb and Dumber To is expected to be released in 2014.
