Actor and musician Jeff Bridges teamed up with his daughter Isabelle Bridges-Boesch to create new father-daughter memories with the release of their children's book Daddy Daughter Day.

"Written by Isabelle Bridges-Boesch, with illustrations by Jeff Bridges himself, Daddy Daughter Day is the story of a simple, fun day from Isabelle’s youth when one morning, Belle wakes up and declares the day 'Daddy Daughter Day!'" the synopsis from comic giant Dark Horse reads. "As the day turns into an adventure, the whole family comes along for the simple joy of being together."

The project was born out of the father-daughter bond Bridges-Boesch shared with her famous father. Bridges-Boesch came up with the story and asked her father to do the illustrations.

"Working on this project together has felt like one long Daddy Daughter Day because we really got to spend some time connecting and collaborating," she said.

Bridges will be seen next in the Hulu thriller series The Old Man along with John Lithgow, Amy Brenneman and Alia Shawkat.

Daddy Daughter Day arrives on October 6, 2020. Pre-orders are available on Amazon and at local comic shops and bookstores.
