Jason Momoa Proclaims Ben Affleck Isn't the Best Batman

Aquaman and Batman in Justice League

Jason Momoa didn't pull any punches when he declared that Will Arnett, and not his Justice League co-star Ben Affleck, is the best Batman actor.

The Bruce Wayne/Arthur Curry relationship brought plenty of comedy to Justice League, but while the actors shared plenty of laughs on the set, it apparently wasn't enough to make the current Dark Knight Momoa's favorite.

From Adam West to Christian Bale, everyone has a soft spot for a certain iteration of the Caped Crusader. However, during Warner Bros.’ CinemaCon presentation for James Wan's Aquaman, Momoa revealed where his loyalties lie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The LEGO Batman Movie star Will Arnett was on stage moderating the panel when Momoa shouted, “You’re the best fucking Batman."

Whether Momoa was just joking around to curry favor is unknown, but maybe he really does prefer Arnett to Affleck.

Matt Damon previously revealed on The Late Show with James Corden that Affleck himself would select Arnett's family-friendly version of the character as his favorite. Don't cry too much for Affleck, though, as Damon chose Batfleck as his No.1.

Similar to Affleck's recent portrayal in Batman v Supermann: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Arnett's performance as Bruce Wayne embodied the darker side of the Dark Knight. Complete with a Christian Bale-inspired gravelly voice, Arnett was undoubtedly one of the standouts of Chris McKay's The LEGO Batman Movie.

Praised for its animation, vocal work from the cast and its humor, The LEGO Batman Movie grossed $312 million worldwide. However, despite Justice League's mixed reception, it still eclipsed The LEGO Batman Movie at the box office.

Momoa didn't go on to rank the rest of the Batman actors, but there are plenty to choose from. It's still unclear when the Aquaman actor will next cross paths with Affleck, as it's unclear whether Warner Bros. still plans to produce a Justice League sequel. However, it's been rumored that The Flash will reunite Ezra Miller's Barry Allen with most, if not all, of his Justice League teammates.

Justice League is available digitally and on Blu-ray and DVD. The film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
