MGM's remake of the 1960 Western classic boasts an all-star lineup that already includes Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Wagner Moura and Haley Bennett. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Momoa would play one of the villains.

The website reports the updated version, written by John Lee Hancock and Nic Pizzolatto, has Bennett's character hiring the gunslingers.

Momoa, a veteran of "Game of Thrones," currently stars on Sundance Channel's "The Red Road." He'll next be seen on the big screen playing Aquaman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Update (12:50 p.m.): Deadline adds that "Terminator Genisys" actor Byung-hun Lee has joined the cast as Billy Rocks.
