WARNING: This article contains minor spoilers for Justice League #39 by Christopher Priest, Ian Churchill, Alex Sollazzo and Willie Schu, on sale now.

Before Warner Bros.' Aquaman swims into theaters later this year, allowing fans the opportunity to get a second look at Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry following his debut in the 2017 film Justice League, the actor's likeness makes its DC Comics debut.

The version of Aquaman that appears in the DC Extended Universe is noticeably different from the one featured in the DC Comics Universe, but the two collide in this week's Justice League #39, by Christopher Priest and Ian Churchill. The issue presents a face-to-face meeting between comic book Aquaman and Jason Momoa Aquaman, and its all thanks to one obsessed Justice League fan.

After the villainous Fan took control of the Justice League Watchtower in the previous issue, he used the satellite's teleporter to scatter the team across the planet. Aquaman found himself in the Rub' al Khali, Oman desert, which is a big problem when you rely so heavily on an aquatic atmosphere to survive. After coming under attack by a gang of marauders, Aquaman is rescued by The Fan, who used Arthur's own trident as a weapon.

The trident isn't the only thing The Fan borrowed, however, as we see him pull off a pretty accurate depiction of Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis.

From his long dark hair and beard down to the design of his Atlantean armor, the fan has perfectly adapted Jason Momoa for the DC Universe. The only problem is instead of committing heroic acts, The Fan is killing innocent people -- all in the name of his favorite superheroes, the Justice League.

So far, we've seen the deranged Fan play dress up as a chain-smoking Batman, and test his will with a Green Lantern ring. He appears to be working his way through the League's roster, so there's probably a good a chance we'll see him don Superman's cape and Flash's signature lightning bolts. If that were to happen, what are the odds that Henry Cavill or Ezra Miller join Jason Momoa as the next DCEU superstar to make the leap to the source material's comic book universe as well?
