Halloween Ends star Jamie Lee Curtis had an intrigued reaction to her fan-casting in Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece.

During Curtis' appearance on Caja de Peliculas, the interviewer told her about the internet's wish for Curtis to appear in the adaptation. "The whole Internet?" Curtis asked. "Oh, please. Let's see how the first season... have they made the first season?" Curtis was informed that the first season was still in post-production, to which she responded, "I'm gonna hold back," while giving a side-eye to the camera.

In addition to encouraging Curtis to join the second season of the upcoming adaptation, the interviewer gave her a plush of her favorite One Piece character Tony Tony Chopper, the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates. Curtis expressed her appreciation for One Piece and discussed how she tracked down the voice actor of Tony Tony Chopper, Brina Palencia, to record the outgoing voice message on her daughter Ruby Guest's phone as a birthday present. Curtis and Palencia subsequently became friends, and the voice actor later appeared on her podcast.

Curtis Loves One Piece

Previously, Guest guest-starred on a One Piece podcast and discussed her mother's love for the long-running anime. "My mom loves Kureha. I would be 100% for it and I honestly, since Netflix is doing the live-action adaptation, I would highly recommend her to pull some strings to see if she can," Guest said. In addition to her love for anime, Curtis has also cosplayed as characters from World of Warcraft and Street Fighter.
