Larson's words were deemed as attacks on masculinity and, in response, some have made it clear they'd prefer to go see Alita as they believe it doesn't have a political message or a perceived agenda of any kind.

Woods has been outspoken on social media surrounding the issues Larson stands for. With Captain Marvel's opening tracking well at the box office and a lot of positive reviews, it's clear that -- regardless which movie fans go see -- it's still a win for everyone who wants to see more diversity in Hollywood, especially with women kicking butt.

The film arrives on March 8.
