WARNING: The following contains minor spoilers for Episode 5 of Loki, "Journey Into Mystery," now streaming on Disney+.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 writer/director James Gunn publicly thanked Marvel Studios for fulfilling his six-year-old wish with the latest episode of Disney+'s Loki.

"My wish from 2015. Thanks for finally delivering [Marvel Studios]," Gunn tweeted. This was in reference to a tweet he shared in January 2015 that read, "Whoa! Can't wait to see the Thanos-copter in the MCU!"

In Episode 5 of Loki, the Thanos-Copter does, in fact, appear, albeit completely trashed and trapped inside the Void.

The Thanos-Copter, as one can imagine, is a Thanos-branded yellow helicopter. The aerial vehicle debuted in 1979 in the pages of Spidey Super Stories #39, which saw the Mad Titan using his Thanos-Copter to attack Hellcat while searching for the Cosmic Cube. Since then, it's resurfaced only a handful of times, including in Deadpool, Crazy and LEGO Marvel's Avengers. Nevertheless, it's been the subject of countless Internet memes, particularly after Thanos was truly unleashed on the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.

Created by Michael Waldron and directed by Kate Herron, Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Eugene Cordero as Casey, Sasha Lane as Hunter C-20 and Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, with Richard E. Grant and Jack Veal. New episodes premiere Wednesdays on Disney+.
