"Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn spoke about the sequel's filming location, touched on "Avengers: Infinity War," weighed in on "Captain Marvel" casting and more during a fan Q&A session on Facebook.

"We can expect something a little bit in the vein of the first movie and also different," he said of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," revealing he had just moved to Atlanta to shoot the film. "I'm going to be here in Atlanta for nearly ten months." The film will begin shooting in February and has almost wrapped casting.

He also mentioned that another character will join the Guardians in the sequel, saying, "I'm not going to give names and I'm won't give numbers either, but there will be at least one new character in 'Guardians of the Galaxy.'" What's more, "Nebula is an important character" in the film.

Nebula won't be the only returning character. "I love Stan Lee. He's a great man. He's one of my favorite people in the world. I still get giddy like a school girl whenever I'm around him, and he's also nice to me, so why would I not want him in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2?'"

When asked if we'll see Adam Warlock in the upcoming film, he responded, "You guys gotta wait and see... Everything's going to be different in the 'Infinity Wars.' I'm a lot more concerned with 'Vol. 2' than I am with 'Infinity Wars.' The way the movie ['Vol. 2'] is structured and made - it really is a story unto itself. It's not about leading up to anything else. It's about the Guardians and their lives."

As to whether or not the "Guardians" series will continue past "Vol. 2," he explained, "Probably! If the second one does well. You guys will have to go see the second one." Further, he added, "There's a lot of other Marvel cosmic properties that I'd be interested in helping usher to the screen. I talk about it a lot but, if I said too much here, Marvel might track me down and shoot me."

"As long as I'm working with Marvel, I'll probably be working on 'Guardians' and 'Guardians'-related projects," he said.

He also offered a few minor details about the film, including, "There will be no other humans - humans being earthlings -- besides Quill," "Drax is not the biggest fan of Baby Groot" and "[Rocket] is young. I guess he'd probably be in his late 20s if he was a human."

Though he hasn't seen the film, he offered an opinion on the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War," sharing, "I kind of get the registration of superheroes, so maybe Tony Stark... I haven't seen the movie yet, so I don't know their positions. In the comics, I understood Iron Man's point of view."

He also weighed in on "Captain Marvel" casting. "I don't have a dog in that race, so I don't know who I want to play Captain Marvel," he explained. "There's a lot of good people that were brought up. There's one person I think is great, but I'm not sure if she's going to get it or not."

Directed by Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" opens on May 5, 2017.
