The Suicide Squad director James Gunn revealed on social media that he's rushing to finish his John Cena-led Peacemaker series for HBO Max.

Gunn posted a series of behind-the-scenes Peacemaker photos from the set of the series on his Instagram account. Among them was a selfie of the director wearing a mask and Suicide Squad-themed T-shirt and an image featuring a certain frog statue.

"#Peacemaker Live. Right now. Saturday shoots so we can get this show done on time!" Gunn wrote in the caption. "(I hate Peacemaker’s porch frog in the third photo but someone on Twitter requested to see again.)"

Gunn's post comes nearly a month after it was confirmed that Harry Potter alum Freddie Stroma had joined the Peacemaker cast as Adrian Chase/Vigilante. Stroma replaced original Adrian Chase/Vigilante actor Chris Conrad, who decided to exit the project due to creative differences.

Created by artist Pat Boyette and writer Joe Gill, the Peacemaker character first appeared in 1966's Fightin' 5 #40. Cena's take on Peacemaker, who will debut in The Suicide Squad, is described as "a man who believes in peace at any cost -- no matter how many people he has to kill to get it."
