With the premiere of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" just around the corner, production of "Avengers: Infinity War" in full swing, there's been a lot of speculation about which Marvel Cinematic Universe characters should step onto the cosmic stage. Perhaps unsurprisingly, James Gunn has an idea of who he'd like to head into space.

Speaking with Fandango, the writer and director of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" revealed his choice would be someone from Hell's Kitchen.

“The one guy I would love to bring into outer space is the Kingpin from the 'Daredevil' TV show, so I don’t know if I’d want to bring an Avenger into outer space," he said. "But I wouldn’t mind bringing Wilson Fisk up there to see what he would do in outer space.”

On “Daredevil,” Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk rules his domain with an iron fist, be it the streets of Hell’s Kitchen or the cell block in which he's imprisoned. Whether he’d have what it takes to command the loyalty of all manner of aliens might be another task all together. Still, if Peter Quill can do it, why not Fisk? Even so, while Gunn presents an intriguing idea, it’s likely one that will never see the light of day.
