Yesterday, the world got to see the all-new Spider-Man in action for the very first time in the latest trailer for "Captain America: Civil War." The trailer ends with a shot of Spider-Man snatching Cap's shield out of his hands with a webline and landing on top of a vehicle.

The footage marks the first time we've seen Marvel and Sony's new Spider-Man, the one that will play a prominent role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward, and it's the first time we've heard Tom Holland's voice coming from under that mask. Following the trailer's release, "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise writer and director James Gunn -- who has already seen "Civil War" -- took to Twitter to shout the "Captain America" sequel's praises.

Civil War. Yes I swear and promise it really is awesome. https://t.co/ipbn4y31aM- James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 10, 2016

He then turned his attention towards Tom Holland's performance as Spider-Man, offering high praise for the third actor to play the wall-crawler in a feature film.

I think @TomHolland1996 is the best Spidey/Peter Parker ever by a country mile. https://t.co/SiH9yP8NvW- James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 10, 2016

It's his own thing. He is to Spidey as Downey is to Iron Man, Ledger was to the Joker, Pratt is to Star-Lord. https://t.co/uvp9qJb2Cx- James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 10, 2016

@FilmandPaint @GamesRadar Being clear: The movie is one of the best. Tom is THE best.- James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 11, 2016
