Joe Quesada, executive vice president and creative director of Marvel Entertainment and creator of Event Comics, posted tribute artwork to the late Sean Connery.

The piece was done during recent Drink and Draw Social Club episode, which Quesada hosts. Drink and Draw is a group of American comic book artists, who, as the name suggests, record themselves drinking, drawing and talking about comic books, art and movies. Tuesday's episode was focused on Sean Connery, who died at the end of October at the age of 90.

Quesada's art features the 007 logo, the legs of a Bond girl and the Aston Martin DB5, a car which first appeared in 1964's Goldfinger. Possibly Bond's most famous car, the DB5 reappeared in seven more Bond films since — including the upcoming No Time to Die. Though initially only armed with a smokescreen, the car was quickly equipped with more gadgets, including an ejector seat, revolving number plates and a hidden champagne cooler.

Connery was the James Bond of the '60s, and his portrayal is often considered closest to Ian Flemming's original character. Flemming approved of his casting, and enjoyed his performance in Dr. No so much that he established a canonical Scottish heritage for Bond to explain Connery's slight accent. Connery also appeared as Henry Jones in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Jim Malone in The Untouchables — a performance which won him an Oscar for best supporting actor.

Drink and Draw was founded in 2019 by Dave Johnson, Dan Panosian and Jeff Johnson. Episodes can be found on their YouTube channel, The Original Drink and Draw Social Club.
