Speculation recently arose suggesting Harry Styles is in line to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond following No Time to Die. However, Styles has quashed rumors connecting him to the iconic role of 007.

Although Styles allegedly attended meetings about the role, his representatives told Daily Mail the reports "aren't even remotely true." Another source previously stated Styles supposedly had multiple discussions about becoming the new Bond, describing the actor as "deadly serious" about the role. "He has had a series of high-level meetings about becoming 007. Harry believes he is the final two. Harry is a new age British man... he's confident in his own skin and making him Bond would signal the franchise changing with the times."

Reports that Styles could be in the running to replace Craig follow discussions indicating Tom Hardy was looking likely to don Bond's tuxedos in the future. Other names rumored to have been considered include James Norton, Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba.

Craig is set to leave the long-lasting spy franchise with the latest movie No Time to Die, which was recently delayed by five months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Directed and co-written by Cary Fukunaga, No Time to Die stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek. The film arrives in theaters April 2, 2021.
