Jaimie Alexander heads to television soon, reprising her role as Lady Sif on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Don't expect her to stick around with Agent Coulson for too long, however, as the actress has already booked another television project.

Deadline reports she's joining Open, the HBO pilot from Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story) starring Fringe veteran Anna Torv and Mission: Impossible III actress Michelle Monaghan.

The project is described as "a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships." Alexander will play Claire, a "postpartum-suffering, pill-popping Stepford wife," married to a man named Evan, played by Wes Bentley.

No stranger to television, the Thor: The Dark World actress co-starred on the sci-fi mystery Kyle XY and the drama Watch Over Me. She has also made appearances on Nurse Jackie and Covert Affairs, among other series.
