If rumors are true, then Thor: The Dark World actress Jaimie Alexander is considering jumping ship on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and joining the ranks of the Man of Steel.

Alexander is one of several names linked to a character in Batman Vs. Superman that many believe to be Wonder Woman. Olga Kurylenko, Gal Godot and Elodie Yung are some of the others reportedly vying for the role. Alexander's lips are sealed regarding the validity of the rumors, but when pressed during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, her nervous reaction to the question spoke volumes.

"It would definitely be a cool job," she eventually conceded about playing Wonder Woman. "I was a huge fan growing up, not just [of] the show, but the comic books too."

It's not the first time Alexander has fielded the Wonder Woman question in recent weeks. Just this month, she admitted she's had "discussion with both companies," referring to DC Entertainment and Marvel Studios, about future projects, before talking specifically about the DC Comics superhero.

“I’m a huge fan of Wonder Woman,” she said. “I really think if this is the closest that we’re ever going to get to Wonder Woman, then I’m proud to play Sif. I hope that other comic book entities can learn a lesson from Marvel in how to execute a female character the way it should be done. I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it’s done with class, I’d rather it not be done.”
