Following four sexual assault allegations, comic book writer Jai Nitz has been banned from the University of Kansas.

Nitz was once a guest lecturer on creative writing and graphic novels at KU. The writer wasn't banned from KU until this year, despite him being accused of displaying of predatory behavior towards female students since 2014.

After an accusation of sexual assault was reported to KU by a student in 2017, Nitz was banned from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, but could still visit other parts of campus.

Nitz has not been arrested or changed, despite similar sexual assault accusations from four women in 2019. Police have cited "insufficient evidence" as the reason no arrest has been made.

A letter informing Nitz of his ban from the KU Lawrence campus was sent in May 2019. Part of the letter read, "You have reportedly engaged in a series of predatory sexual behaviors over the last five years in which you have targeted female students after meeting them on campus." The ban will stay in effect until May 15, 2022.
