Following accusations of sexual assault against writer Jai Nitz, Dark Horse Comics cancelled his miniseries Astro Hustle. Now, series artist Tom Reilly has addressed both the cancellation and the allegations."Astro Hustle's cancellation is for the best," Reilly wrote on Twitter. "I commend and thank Hannah for finding the courage to come forward and share her story. Her bravery inspire dother women to also come forward to share their own experiences, which shows just how powerful her actions truly were. I believe these women, and I admire the strength they all possess."

"I also want to thank everyone who has supported me over the past few months, and those who have shown support for me now. I'll be back to making comics soon enough," he added.

Last week, a University of Kansas former student shared her story about an encounter with Nitz. According to the student's account, she met the writer when he was invited to speak to her journalism class. After they followed each other on Twitter, they agreed to meet up for drinks, where the alleged incident occurred. Later, the student filed a Title IX complaint over the incident and was told "that the school of journalism wouldn’t be inviting Jai back." The incident occurred in March 2017.

Following this, Dark Horse conducted an investigation into the matter and decided to cancel all upcoming issues of Astro Hustle. "Dark Horse takes all allegations seriously," a representative for the publisher wrote in a statement to CBR. "While we were unable to prevent our distributor's shipping of Astro Hustle #2, we are also suspending our professional ties with Jai Nitz."
