At the end of December, Fox invited fans to sign up to receive a custom limited-edition postcard depicting a single frame from "Logan's" final trailer. Now, it looks like director James Mangold and star Hugh Jackman have received theirs. The pair shared the first and last frames of the final trailer on Twitter.Mangold shared the first frame:

Jackman, who plays the title character, shared the final frame:

The postcard campaign, titled 1974 Frames of Logan, encouraged fans to share their postcards on Twitter with the hashtag #OneLastTime. The hashtag refers to Jackman's ninth and final appearance as Wolverine, whom he first played in Bryan Singer's "X-Men" back in 2000.

1974 also has special meaning for Wolverine in the comics. It's the year that the character was first introduced, in the pages of "The Incredible Hulk" #180-181.

If all goes according to Fox's plan, this means that more images from the final trailer will begin popping up on Twitter as fans receive their postcards. However, it's unclear how much of the footage in this latest trailer is new, and how much will have already debuted in previous trailers.

Written by Mangold, Michael Green and Scott Frank, "Logan" also stars Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen. It opens in theaters on March 3, 2017, but attendees at the Berlin Film Festival in February will get to see it a few weeks earlier. "Logan" is part of the festival's non-competition roster, where its R-rated superhero fare will certainly add some variety to the lineup.
