The first trailer for jackass forever pulls on the heartstrings of nostalgia for the long-running comedic franchise.
Black-and-white scenes from the previous Jackass stunts open the video, as the phrase, "When was the last time you got together with old friends to laugh your asses off?" appears on the screen. Next, we catch up with a white-haired Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the Jackass crew in the present day
What sets jackass forever apart from its predecessors is the gang is a lot older than before, which would lead some to believe they've matured. Of course, that's far from the case, as some of the new stunts on display in the trailer include Knoxville (wearing wings) being shot out of a canon over a body of water, someone riding a bike into a fake display and a race with a mechanical hand that knocks the loser into a pool.
"Concussions aren't great, but as long as you have them before you're 50, it's cool," Steve-O says. "And Knoxville's 49, so we're good."
We end the trailer with someone being strapped to a chair as honey is poured on his head and fresh salmon is laid on his lap. Then a door slowly opens to reveal a bear entering that same room.
jackass forever arrives in theaters on Oct. 22.
