You haven't seen the last of the Jackass crew, certainly not after the third film's record-setting $50 million opening performance this past weekend. But you might be seeing them a whole lot sooner than you expected -- as in just a few short months.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Paramount Pictures is currently considering what to do with a wealth of footage shot during the filming of Jackass 3D that didn't make the final cut. There's so much footage, in fact, that Paramount could release a Jackass 3.5 feature at some point in the next few months, with an official decision likely to come down in the next few days.

“We shot two movies' worth of footage,” Johnny Knoxville told the Times. “We have so many bits that we never even turned in to Paramount because we were so swamped with ideas — funny stuff. The bits were just coming out of us left and right.”

Steve-O puts it more eloquently: “How are you going to leave out the scene where a guy farts darts into another guy’s face? You know you’re working with some high-quality material if you’re leaving something like that out.”

How indeed, Steve-O. How indeed.
