Amazon Prime Video’s take on CIA thriller Jack Ryan is a hit among its subscribers. In fact, Season 2 is reportedly even outperforming superhero series The Boys in viewing numbers based on data from its first week online.

Season 2 landed an average minute audience of over 4.6 million viewers across its first seven days, according to Nielsen, placing it just ahead of the 4.1 million that binged on The Boys within its first week in July. Although Amazon hasn't commented publicly on the viewership numbers, Nielsen shared that Jack Ryan is the best performing Amazon Prime series it has measured.

The first episode of Jack Ryan Season 2 drew 7.3 million viewers over its first week online, which also outperformed The Boys' premiere. When it debuted on Nov. 1, more than 2 million people tuned in, followed by another 1.5 million for the second. Unsurprisingly, the show has been renewed for a third season.

About 45% of those who watched within the first week of Jack Ryan’s release were in the show’s key 18-49 demographic. 866,000 viewers watched an episode of the season on its release date, which is up from the 613,000 for its Season 1 premiere.

Jack Ryan is developed for television by showrunners Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Graham Roland (Fringe) and stars John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce and Abbie Cornish. Both seasons are now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
